How long is this course?
In practice it is about 16 hours of training.
It covers a similar amount of content to a 2-Day instructor-led course if you were to attend one in person. You can go through the online course at your own pace. There are many exercises, discussion opportunities and quizzes, so it depends how quickly or slowly you go through the course.
Is there an assessment?
You will go through a variety of exercises and quizzes and milestones throughout the course. The final session includes an extended quiz that covers critical key points of the course.
Would I receive a certificate?
At the end of the online course, when you have completed all lessons and components of the course including quizzes, you will receive a “Certificate of Completion” from Skills Converged.
Is this course the same as the book: Train the Trainer – The Art of Training Delivery?
No. The online course builds on some ideas covered in the Train the Trainer book, but it is a separate, more practical and interactive learning experience. It includes original content on course structure, effective openings, credibility, learner engagement, facilitation, questioning and body language.
The book explores the research and theory behind effective training in greater depth. The course focuses on application through demonstrations, exercises, discussions, quizzes and reinforcement, helping you understand, remember and use the techniques in your own training.
