About Skills Converged
Helping Trainers Create Learning That Works
Skills Converged helps trainers, consultants, subject-matter experts and learning and development teams design and deliver better courses.
We create practical resources for every stage of that work, from complete editable training materials to Train the Trainer courses, books, articles and free exercises.
Our goal is simple: help trainers make better use of their time and give learners experiences that lead to genuine understanding, practical capability and lasting results.
What We Do
Editable Training Materials
Our ready-to-use course packs help trainers deliver professional workplace training without having to build every course from scratch. Each pack combines presentations, trainer notes, participant workbooks, exercises and supporting handouts in formats that can be edited and adapted.
These are intended to be complete learning experiences, not simply collections of slides.

How We Design Our Training Materials
Our training materials are built around three principles. They define what a Skills Converged course should achieve for its learners and what it should be like for the trainer delivering it.
Must Lead to Long-Term Learning
A training course should do more than present information or help learners understand something temporarily. Learners should remember what they have learned and be able to apply it long after the course has finished.
This changes the way training materials need to be designed. Important ideas must be reinforced, connected and revisited. Learners need opportunities to think, discuss, practise and receive feedback. The objective is not simply to make sense during the session, but to produce learning that lasts.
Must Maximise Training per Unit of Time
Time is a scarce resource, particularly in professional training. Organisations and learners cannot spend unlimited time working through explanations and exercises, however useful they might be.
Our materials are therefore designed to produce as much meaningful learning as possible within the available time. Explanations, questions, discussions, exercises and feedback are carefully sequenced so that each part earns its place. The aim is not to rush learners or cram in more information. It is to help them reach understanding, insight and practical capability sooner, without sacrificing the quality or durability of the learning.
Must Be Easy to Use
However carefully a course has been designed, it still needs to be easy for the trainer to pick up, understand, adapt and deliver.
Our materials provide a clear structure, detailed trainer guidance, editable presentations and workbooks, practical exercises and guidance for discussions and debriefs. Trainers spend less time trying to work out what the course designer intended and more time concentrating on delivery, participation and the needs of their learners.
Our Story
Skills Converged was founded in London in 2008 by training designer and author Dr Ethan Honary. What began with the delivery of management, productivity and soft-skills courses gradually developed into a wider collection of training materials, Train the Trainer programmes, books and educational resources.
