While goal setting is personal and individualised, there is a lot to be learned from successful people who are good at finding out what they want, set goals and systematically achieve them. This course has been designed with both aspects of goal setting in mind. It contains case studies of famous people so delegates can see what it means to set good goals and pursue them. In addition, interactive exercises are designed to facilitate brainstorming, goal exploration and goal sharing so that delegates can get inspired by other people’s goals. This also allows delegates to see if they set their goals wrongly and what they can do to improve them to increase their chances of achieving them.
The course is structured to present goal setting in a very systematic approach. It is not just about how to set a goal; it is also about finding what goals to set. These two approaches should go hand in hand and form a process that can be applied in life.
Setting up mission statements and goals can take time and it also requires self-reflection and analysis. Many exercises included in the course are ideal for after-course assignments. Delegates can use the process they learned during the course and spend more time to fully explore their desires and formulate them into useful goals.
