Purpose

The purpose of this team building exercise is to recognise similar values within the team and understand the importance of matching values in reducing stress at work place.

This activity is suitable for delegates from the same organization who work together at least some of the time.

Objective

Participants to identify similar values within their organisation.

What You Need

  • A copy of the worksheet for each participants provided below.

Setup

  • Each delegate is given a copy of the worksheet and is expected to fill it in individually in 5 minutes.
  • After everyone has finished filling the worksheet, divide the group into sub groups of 2 to 3 people. Delegates can compare and discuss their responses with their team members.
  • Bring the group back together and ask one volunteer to identify similar responses from all the participants.

Timing

Explaining the Test: 5 minutes.

Activity: 15 minutes

Group Feedback: 10 minutes.

Discussion

Discuss with the participants that recognising shared values is the first step towards creating a relaxed, stress-free and productive work place. Ask the delegates if they felt more at ease and relaxed when they realised that they shared the same values with their colleagues.
