Icebreaker: What Do You Do When You Are Not Working?


Purpose

Use this icebreaker to help people get to know each other more. It provides a structured approach so that the most is gained from the introductions in a short amount of time.

Objective

Share 5 things you do when you are not working.

Setup

  • Divide the delegates to pairs. If you have an odd number of delegates, use a group of 3.
  • Ask each person in each pair to share 5 things they do when they are not working. These could be hobbies, sports, activities or communities they attend.
  • Allocate 5 minutes for each person for an overall 10 minutes for this part.
  • Bring back everyone together and ask each person to introduce their partner to everyone else by stating two things their partner does.
