In your experience as a trainer or a member of a training team, what are the most effective team motivators?

I've got two for you: a clear purpose and a sense of responsibility.

Hello friend,

I think team members should listen each other's ideas and the essential focal point for a group of peeople is  they should have trust on one another and  they should work for a common aim.

Recognising staff's efforts and hard work encourages good work and encourages people to contribute more

I would say it is sense of synergy between the members. If team members think they are doing something useful and that there is a meaningful product or service coming out at the end of their endeavour, they would be much more motivated. When you look at history, all the great products usually made by teams that worked really hard for long hours, but absolutely loved what they did and couldn't wait to unveil their product to "change" the world. That feeling is the greatest motivator.
